Insurance companies consider teen drivers to be risky drivers. There are few reasons as to why they are considered this way. Some of them are lack of experience and reckless behavior. As parents to teens who start driving, be ready to have your premium raised. And in case that your new driver gets tickets, violations, or God forbid gets in an accident, the insurance rates will continue to rise. It is a good idea to send your son or daughter to a new driver education program, and set the stage for safe driving from the start.
